Body Plastic Surgery

Liposuction

You may be interested in liposuction if you have excess subcutaneous fat which is resistant to diet and exercise. Liposuction may also be desirable if you wish to change the contours of your body. Commonly involved areas are the anterior part of the neck (under the chin), upper arms and armpits, male chest/breasts, trunk, abdomen, waist, hips, thighs, inner knees, calves, and ankles. Most patients are near normal weight and desire permanent contour changes.

Abdominoplasty—Tummy Tuck

If you have loose or sagging abdominal skin and muscles, you may be interested in abdominoplasty. Tummy tuck is particularly helpful for people who have been unsuccessful in improving abdominal muscle tone through exercise. Abdominoplasty is intended to give the patient a smoother, flatter abdomen.

Arm Lift

You may be interested in arm lift surgery if you have sagging or loose skin on your upper arms. Arm lift plastic surgery (also known as brachioplasty) is common for individuals who have lost large amounts of weight due to dieting or bariatric weight loss surgery. The procedure requires the excision (removal) of excess skin. The intended result is a trimmer, slimmer upper arm. Arm lift may be combined with liposuction, as needed.

Chest Sculpting—Gynecomastia

Men who are uncomfortable with the contours of their chests might consider male breast reduction surgery, which is also known as gynecomastia. Genetics and aging can cause men to have larger than average breast tissue. After weight loss, men may find that they have sagging or excess skin in the chest area. Gynecomastia is intended to remove excess breast tissue and give patients a more masculine chest appearance.
